皆さん、こんにちは！私は今、フランスでこのブログを書いています。フェアウェルコンサートの数日後にフランスに戻ったのですが、到着して以降、チーズをたくさん食べています。
8月上旬に、大阪のザ・シンフォニーホールでオールバッハコンサートを行いました。その際、大阪の街やユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパン、たくさんの鹿がいる奈良も訪れました。フランスに戻る前には、まだ行けていなかった北海道の街にも行くことができ、洞爺湖にも行きました。洞爺湖の景色は、この1年間で見た景色の中でもトップクラスに美しいと感じました。日本で過ごす最後の1か月だったので、日本で人気のスポーツを満喫してきました。まずは初めての野球観戦に行き、北海道のチームを応援して勝利を見届けました。それから、非常に迫力のある相撲も観戦しました。
日本での滞在は本当に楽しく、自然環境の素晴らしさに感動しました。1年間滞在したことで、すべての四季を体験できました（秋の木々の彩りが特に好きでした）。日本の美しい自然に触れる中で、食べ物の包装にプラスチックが多く使われていることにも気が付きました。地球規模では水環境へのマイクロプラスチックの影響が指摘されており、リサイクルが進んでいても、プラスチックの製造や処理にはエネルギーが必要になり二酸化炭素も排出します。フランスだって環境問題という面では、模範的な国とは決して言えません。最近、かつて禁止されていたいくつかの農薬やネオニコチノイド系農薬の使用を認める法案が可決されました。この法律に反対する署名はすでに200万以上集まっています。それでも私は、一つひとつ行動が大切だと信じていますし、日本で目にした美しい生物多様性や景観が、将来の世代にも良い状態で残されてほしいと願っています。フェアウェルリサイタルを終え、フランスに帰国する直前には、日本の風景を最後にもう一度楽しむために最北端の稚内を訪れました。
フェアウェルリサイタルでは、「exposition（エクスポジション）」をテーマに選びました。フランス語の「exposition」は、美術の展覧会を意味することもあれば、万国博覧会を指すこともあります。今回のプログラムでは、この多様な意味を持つ言葉をさまざまな作品で表現することにしました。セザール・フランクの「英雄的小品」、シャルル＝マリー・ヴィドールの交響曲第5番より「トッカータ」、ムソルグスキーの「展覧会の絵」などを演奏しました。また、このコンサートは、2025年3月に録音した私のアルバム「L’Orgue Fantastique -幻想的なオルガン-」を紹介する機会でもありました。このアルバムには、作曲家ブノワ・ムニュトによる新作や、私がオルガン用に編曲したドビュッシーの「喜びの島」など、今回が初披露となる作品も収録されています。リサイタルの後には、アルバム「L’Orgue Fantastique -幻想的なオルガン-」にサインもしました。ぜひお楽しみいただければ幸いです。

Dear everyone! I am writing this blog post from France. I returned home a few days after my farewell recital and have been eating a lot of cheese since my return.
At the beginning of August, I gave a Bach recital at the Osaka Symphony Hall. I took advantage of my stay to visit the city of Osaka, as well as Universal Studios Japan and the city of Nara, where I saw lots of deer. Before returning to France, I tried to visit some new cities in Hokkaido. I went to Lake Toya, which I think is one of the most beautiful landscapes I saw during my year abroad. I also took advantage of my last month in Japan to discover the major sports here: I attended my first baseball game, where I cheered on the Hokkaido team, who won the game, and I attended a rather impressive sumo tournament.
I really enjoyed my stay in Japan and was amazed by the natural environment. Staying in Japan for a whole year allowed me to experience each of the seasons (I particularly loved the colors of the trees in autumn). Faced with such beautiful nature, I was surprised by the large amount of plastic used to package all food! Our planet's waters are heavily polluted with microplastics, and even when recycled, the production and incineration of plastic uses energy and produces CO2. France is far from being a perfect country when it comes to ecology: a law has just been passed allowing the use of several previously banned pesticides and neonicotinoids. A petition against this law has gathered more than 2 million signatures. However, I believe that every action counts, and I would like the biodiversity and landscapes of Japan, which I found so beautiful, to remain in good condition for future generations. After my farewell recital and just before returning to France, I took a trip to Wakkanai, in the far north of Japan, to enjoy the Japanese landscapes one last time.
The theme of my farewell recital was the word “exposition.” In French, this word can refer to an art exhibition. But we also use this word to refer to the World's Fair. It is these different definitions that I decided to illustrate in the program of my farewell organ recital with works such as Cesar Franck's Piece Heroique, the Toccata from Charles-Marie Widor's 5th symphony, and excerpts from Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. This concert was also an opportunity for me to present my album L'orgue Fantastique, which I recorded in March 2025. This recording contains several previously unreleased pieces, including a creation by composer Benoit Menut and Debussy's Isle Joyeuse, which I transcribed for organ. After my recital, I signed copies of my album L'Orgue Fantastique. I hope you enjoy it.
